Tea House
The Teahouse is Ngalung Kalla’s newest accommodation offering. Encompassing 10 years of natural building experience in it’s Japanese natural plastering walls it meshes intricately with natures comforts.
It is modeled after a Japanese Teahouse perched in a clifftop jungle. It is a hideaway that from the bed and looks right into the azure bay out front. This hardwood 24 square meter bungalow features a queen bed, a writers table, and its own private sun lounges gazing out on the breathtaking view. The wrap-around mahogany deck has you perched in the trees- birds flying around all around you throughout the day singing their captivating chorus. An private low-flush toilet and shower wrap out The Teahouse’s amenities.
It’s privacy and seclusion are also strong points. It is on the opposite side of the retreat as most of the other accommodations. Much closer to the yoga/wifi areas, the spa and the pool but a bit farther (across the bridge) from the main restaurant.
Uma Angwua - The Great House
Across the cable bridge to the east of the retreat lies Uma Angwua – Greathouse. This
magnificent structure is our greatest achievement to date. It has three separate bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has one queen bed, the Kolam bedroom has one queen (and possible one single) and Kali bedroom has one queen (and possible to set a single up here as well).
Upstairs is the spacious second floor and an incredible panoramic view of the surf, it’s the perfect area for intimate cocktail parties and for kicking back with the family and friends.
The third story loft (queen bed) is an amazing day escape or the quintessential adventurers bedroom, but it’s definitely not suitable for kids- as its also up a flight of stairs. Every room has dynamic views.
“6am smoothies, morning surf sessions, afternoon yoga, incredible food directly from our earth, one uber-friendly chicken, the most incredible sunrise in the world and the most hospitable family!”
